Do you ever feel like you’re ALWAYS behind the 8 ball?
Do you wake up feeling disorganized, disoriented or just plain rushed?
I hear you and let me tell you it’s NOT a good feeling to have before you’ve even started your day.
That’s why I decided to start waking up earlier and making time for not only me but to get a slight head start on my day.
I recently had the opportunity to purchase Crystal Payne’s, Make over your Morning Course. I downloaded the workbook to peruse it before I started the videos/lessons.
Eye Opening Course
Let me tell you this course has been an eye-opener for me.
Although in this season of my life I no longer have to get up early to get ready for work nor do I have to send children off to school this course has allowed me to stop feeling rushed, frustrated and disorganized.
I still have an active life.
I do volunteer work.
I’m my moms caregiver during the day while my sister works, I am grateful that my sister takes over our mom’s care once she comes home.
Still, I see that she(mom) gets out and about, if for no other reason than just to sightsee or walk about.
She loves people watching!
I also take her to run any errands she might have.
On top of that I also have this site and another one that I’m setting up for later in 2019.
Plus a husband and 3 rambunctious dogs, that have no concept of “personal space”!
So you see, even though I don’t have a busy life, so to speak, with children, lunches, commuting, and so forth.
I still have a busy and active lifestyle.
I believed I had a lot of time, Crystal’s course actually showed me that the time I did have I needed to be intentional with.
One of the lessons from this course was that I need to figure out my “why” for wanting to take control of my mornings.
The usual is almost always, I don’t want to feel rushed getting myself and/or the kids out the door.
Getting stuck in traffic and being late for work.
Feeling frazzled because I was up with a sick child. Etc.
But, I didn’t have “these” particular excuses.
What I did have was the need for time to myself.
Time to read, enjoy a cup of coffee, look out my front door without dogs crowding in around me to see what I’m looking at.
And, barking at every little bird feeding at the feeder.
Because when my dogs bark I swear they wake up the whole neighborhood. Yes, they are THAT loud!
I also wanted to have some sort of game plan for when I did get into my home office.
As I mentioned, I have this website plus another one that I hope and pray to launch later in 2019.
That is actually something I’ve wanted to do for a while now but between praying about it, overthinking it, researching it and a couple of other “its” I just hadn’t started to plan out what I wanted to offer.
After reading some of the resources (books) referenced on the Make over your Morning course, I started working out a game plan for the new website I wanted to launch.
Although not completed, as of this writing, I am farther ahead than I was 18 months ago when I first seriously considered starting.
I have learned from the course that if I choose just 3-5 small things to do daily and have both a morning and evening routine down I can accomplish “A lot”!
Getting up just a little bit earlier than the rest of the house I feel more relaxed and unrushed.
And for me that had made a big difference in how my day progresses.
I’ve been doing the early morning routine for about 3 months now and the changes I have seen and felt in my own day and life up to this point have been absolutely AMAZING!
Now I have a game plan for at least 6 days out of the week. Plus, I have gotten more done in those few morning hours than I had all of last year combined!
I will continue on this course for now as this is working well for this season of my life.
Who knows, I may have to tweak it later on down the line as my schedule changes or as my life goes off in another direction.
All I know is that if you open your mind to carving out just 15 minutes every morning for you and you alone it can make a world of difference in how the rest of your day progresses.
Ready to start
Each of the courses are quick, easy and short.
It doesn’t take too much time to go thru each lesson and the tips, tricks and suggestions you get if put into practice will have you looking forward to your mornings.
And evenings! 🙂
